Why have you all kept Clearwater’s Sand Key Park  a secret from me? I have been missing out on it for all of these years!  To be completely honest, I avoid shooting at Clearwater Beach like the plague (unless I am shooting in the back of a client’s hotel). Why you ask?  TOURISTS. Yes, it’s a beautiful beach and everyone knows about it!  The crowds there can get pretty thick and parking is a pain!  So I stick to my low key, local beaches instead.  This time around, this beautiful family was staying in an AirBnB in Clearwater and I never want my visiting clients to have to drive far so I searched for a beach that wouldn’t be so populated.  Sand Key Park to the rescue!

I was pleasantly surprised when we got there.  Just a handful of people and miles of beach to ourselves.  And rocks too! The boys had the best time running up and down the beach, but I’m pretty sure they had the most fun at the end of our session.  I have a rule I try to follow at every session.  “Never put your camera away.”  Meaning even after the sun has gone down and  session is “over” I still keep my camera on me just in case.  I captured these last few images after the sunset and they are some of my favorite!  See this last image?  Yep. Special moment of big bother rubbing sand all over little bro’s belly and mouth.  Gotta cherish sibling love!

F Family, thank you so much for staying in Clearwater and forcing me to step out of my comfort zone of beaches!  I will definitely be back here again.  Also thank you for being so fun!!
