Ah, Clearwater Beach.  Voted one of the best beaches in Florida.  A few times I think?!  But along with such a prestigious title also comes with a whole lot of people coming to check it out for themselves!  Just as this beautiful family decided to do on their vacation.

The traffic.  The people.  The lack of wide open space.  The PARKING!  These reasons are why I won’t shoot at Clearwater Beach unless you are staying at a hotel on the beach that is far from the pier.  So how do I shoot at one of the best beaches in Florida?  Well I happen to know of a little park where the locals hang out.  You still get all of the beauty, but none of the hassle!  Bonus- sailboats sail by a few times an hour to add to your dreamy beach backdrop.  Bonus x 2 – there are many seagulls, as you can see!  Which if you’re a person like me who has a distaste (ok, its a FEAR) of birds flying around your head, can be a true Hitchcock nightmare.  But chances are if you’re a kid or even an adult from another part of the country who hasn’t had the full seagull experience, YOU LOVE IT.  But hey, even though I fear them I have to admit that they make a cool addition to a beach image.
