In today’s adventures of a Clearwater Beach Family Photographer, we encountered a little bit of seaweed.  Ok, ok.  Not a little.  It was A LOT!  In my 10+ years of photographing families in Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater and the surrounding beaches, I have never encountered this much seaweed.  But did we let that spoil our fun?  NO!  I just had a thought though.  Wouldn’t it be nice for us beach goers to have some kind of forecast that shows not only the rain chances and wind speed, but also the amount of seaweed to expect?!  It’s my idea!  Do NOT steal it!  Haha..

Ok, but really. I will take handfuls of seaweed over red tide any day of the week.  All we had to do was change our angles a bit to avoid the brown, mushy stuff.  The N Family all came from Idaho to enjoy a slice of Florida.  They did it all, including braving the intense heat and humidity at Disney.  So if they could do that, a little seaweed was no going to get in our way of documenting some beach memories together. After we pictures all of the various groups, it was time to have some fun.  And you know that saying, “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade?”  Well when life gives you seaweed, you stomp around in it and throw it at each other!  If you can’t beat them , join them!  Alright, at the risk of adding another cliche saying, I will stop here.  When in Rome!  Ok, I’m stopping now.

N Family, you guys are the best.  Thank you so much for keeping a positive attitude and making the most out of our time together.  I’d love to see you all again on your next trip!  I promise there will be less seaweed next time.  My special beach forecast will say so 🙂
