Clearwater Beach – it has been a while!  I’m going to be honest here.  I try to avoid Clearwater Beach at all costs!  No, it’s not that I don’t think it’s gorgeous because it definitely is.  It’s the CROWDS.  It’s the LACK OF PARKING.  Those two things I try to stay away from when planning beach sessions.  I want our experience to be as pleasurable as possible and those two elements alone can put a dapper on things.  However, I WILL shoot at Clearwater only if I have clients who are staying there.  This means I can park at their hotel (or in this case there airBnB) and usually the beaches in those areas are less crowded.  Well we scared here big time because we had the entire beach to ourselves!

Now on to this family session.  I do have a special place in my heart for extended family sessions because there are so many different family dynamics to be captured.  Here we had mom, dad, and little miss Riley. We also had mom’s parents (Lolo and Lola to Riley – thats grandma and grandpa in Filipino in case you didn’t know) and moms brother and girlfriend.  We had lots to capture!  As soon as we started shooting, a pirate ship crossed the ocean right behind us.  Yep, another reason to love Clearwater.  I was able to capture it in some of their images just to make their beach session that much more magical. I might have to come back to Clearwater soon…but only if I can find parking and an area that isn’t so crowded!
