Alivia’s Senior Portraits
{ Tampa Senior Photographer }
Are you seeing this correctly? A senior? YES!
I know you’re used to seeing mostly family photography on this blog sprinkled with some maternity here and there, but your eyes are not deceiving you. I shot a high school senior session for the first time ever!
When Alivia’s dad first contacted me and asked me if I was a Tampa Senior Photographer, I said…”Well, I could be!” Honestly the thought of shooting seniors never really crossed my mind. I’m so focused on shooting families, that other genres don’t even come up. But why?! I love trying new things and don’t want to pigeonhole myself. Plus, shooting something new really reinsures my love for photography and gets my creative juices flowing.
When I spoke to Alivia, she said she was going for something fun on the beach. Ding, ding, ding! Those are my buzz words! Fun – YES Beach – Well, obviously (insert that funny gif here – if you know, then you know…)
We met at my favorite Honeymoon Island State Park. Woah, was it crowded! I guess Floridians are coming out of their homes now that people are getting vaccinated and wanting to enjoy the warmer weather. So I found a more secluded spot for us to stretch our legs, run, dance and HAVE FUN! I think we definitely captured the vibe she was going for. This session was so refreshing. It’s amazing how easy it is to direct a senior girl, rather than chase after children and hope they look my way to capture a shot.
So am I a Tampa Senior Photographer? The answer is YES! I am now opening my doors to more seniors. I had so much fun that I need to do this again!
