Well, today was a crazy day for a Treasure Island Beach photographer.  When I photograph families who are vacationing at our beautiful beaches, I do my best tot schedule them at the front end of their vacay.  This way, we’d have enough time to reschedule if it storms. And during the Florida summers, this is more than likely.  We already had to reschedule once due to a gnarly thunder storm and today was our last chance to shoot before they left to go back home.  The forecast said 60% chance, so we decided to give it a shot (pun intended).

I am so glad that we did!  We are able to shoot the entire hour!  As our session progressed, we watched as the clouds got closer and closer.  Lightning cracked in the not so far distance, but we kept going.  At the final five minutes, BAM!  The storm made it appearance and I basically ran to the car before getting dumped on by heavy rains.  Looking at these images, driving home in that crazy storm with lightning crackling on both sides of me was totally worth it.  I love love love the dramatic clouds that make up a storm on the beach.  They make for such a cool backdrop.  So if you’re booked with me and we decide to try to make the best out of a crazy looking forecast, just trust me.  Your session might just look like this!!

Want to see more?  Well if you do, you’re in luck!  I’ve started posted on good old Instagram again.  Give me a follow if you’d like!  HERE!!
